Every five years, state and local governments that receive federal funding from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) are required to report on barriers to fair housing in their area as well as solutions to those issues.  The Des Moines area’s report was last updated in 2019 as a collaborative effort between the City of Des Moines, the City of West Des Moines, and the Des Moines Municipal Housing Agency.
